Post Date:09/10/2024Recently Gallatin Public Utilities completed a Rate & Cost of Service Study for the natural gas system. The results of this study recommended the implementation of a meter charge for customers of the natural gas system. Beginning with the next billing cycle (October 2024 / November 2024) customers will start seeing the meter charge on their bills. The natural gas meter charge is being phased in over the next three years and is being implemented as an equitable means to fund the costs associated with the operation and maintenance of the natural gas system.
