Customer Portal

Beginning on January 1, 2020 we will be launching our new Customer Portal as part of our Advanced Metering Infrastructure project. The Customer Portal will enable the customer to more effectively view and monitor their usage, and will give the customer the ability to set-up customized notification alerts. Paying your bill online? Use Caution!

If you choose to use a bill payment website that is NOT affiliated with us to pay your bill, please use caution and be aware:

• The website may charge you extra fees.
• Your payment may not be received by the due date, causing your account to be subject to disconnection and/or service fees.

Paying Your Utility Bill

Bank Draft

The most convenient way to pay is by the monthly automatic electronic bank draft. Each month the amount of your utility bill will be transferred electronically from your checking or savings account to GPU by bank draft. The actual transfer will occur on the due date of your bill. Your bank will itemize the automatic debit on your statement each month. GPU will continue to send you a bill each month marked "Paid By Bank Draft".

By Mail

Another convenient method to pay is by mail. GPU includes a return envelope for this purpose with your bill. Please use it. Be sure to enclose the bill stub to ensure that we credit the correct account. Mail only a check or money order, do not send cash.

By Phone

If customers prefer to pay by phone, GPU offers an automated payment line. The number is 833-373-8740. You will need your customer number and PIN number. Both are located on your bill. 

In Person

Some customers prefer to come to the office to pay in person. The business office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Kiosk

GPU has a bill payment kiosk for making payments after business hours. The kiosk will allow our customers the convenience of being able to pay their bills 24/7 365 days of the year.  The kiosk will accept cash, (no change is given back on the cash payments) check and credit card payments.  The kiosk will allow you to scan the bill payment stub for a faster transaction time!  You will receive a printed receipt of your transaction for your records.

Online

Enroll in our Customer Payment Portal or download our mobile app to easily pay your bill online. The app is available on Google Play or in the App Store. 

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards. You may pay with your credit card in the office, over the telephone, or online.

Budget Billing

This program allows you to plan your utility bills in advance, and may be especially helpful to our customers on fixed incomes. In order to be eligible for this program you must be active on our system for at least thirteen (13) months at the address where you want the account to be budgeted. The account must also have a zero (0) balance due at the time of application and there shall be no late charges assessed to the account in the previous twelve (12) months.

The amount to be budget billed will be based on the previous twelve (12) months of usage. In the event an account is assessed two late charges during the previous twelve months, the account may be removed from budget billing (following review and approval by the Superintendent) and all charges will be due in full at that time. April and May are sign up months for budget billing.
