Gallatin Public Utilities is currently working on identifying service line materials throughout their water system. These inventories will help our customers to know if their location has a non-lead line, a galvanized line that needs to be replaced, or a lead line. A galvanized line does not in itself pose a lead exposure risk. However, if it was previously connected to lead piping upstream, the rust in galvanized pipes can absorb and possibly leach lead into drinking water over time. The inventory will also inform the customer if their line material has not been identified yet. To find out more information on your location please see the link to the map below.

To help further determine the material of your service line or to give us more information concerning the material type of your service line, please contact us via email at drinkingwatersupport@gallatinutilities.com or by calling our office at (615) 451-5922                                     M - F 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
